NEON BRICK BREAKER

How the Brick Breaker Scoring System Works

Scoring in Neon Brick Breaker is fully deterministic — the same play always scores the same. Here is every rule.

Brick points

One-hit bricks are worth 10, power-up bricks 15, explosive bricks 15, reinforced bricks 20 and shield bricks 25. Moving bricks add 10. Each hit on a reinforced brick that doesn't break it scores 5.

Combo multiplier

Every brick you break before the ball touches the paddle again increases your combo. Each step adds 10% to brick points, up to double at a combo of 10. Touching the paddle or losing a life resets it.

Bosses and capsules

Each hit on a boss scores 25 points, and defeating one scores 1,000 plus 200 for each boss you have reached so far. Catching a capsule scores 50. Catching a boss spark costs 50.

Clear bonus

Clearing a level adds 250 points per remaining life plus a time bonus: 5 points for every second under the level's par time. Some later levels have an optional time challenge worth another 500.

Stars

One star: clear the level. Two stars: clear it with at least two lives left. Three stars: clear it without losing a life and reach the level's 3-star score, which is shown before you launch.
