Accessibility
We want Neon Brick Breaker to be playable and comfortable for as many people as possible. Here is what the game does today.
Controls
- Fully playable with a keyboard: ← → or A / D, Space to launch, P / Esc to pause, R to restart.
- Mouse and touch play. Touch controls are relative, so your finger never covers the paddle.
- The game never runs ahead of you: every life starts with the ball held on the paddle until you launch.
Vision and colour
- Brick types are told apart by their inner marks (pips, star, diamond, hatching, halo, arrows), not by colour alone.
- Every power-up capsule carries a letter.
- High contrast throughout: bright outlines on a black field.
Motion and photosensitivity
- No full-screen strobing. Flashes are soft, single and never faster than three per second.
- If your system asks for reduced motion, screen shake and ball trails are turned off and particle effects are reduced.
Sound
- Sound is off until you interact with the page. Sound and music have separate switches.
- All important events also have a visual cue, so the game can be played fully muted.
Website
- Semantic headings, landmarks, a skip link, visible focus outlines and labelled buttons.
- Text stays readable at 200% zoom, and the game board scales without distortion.
